Question about Top Gear

I posted a little while ago about ideas for gifts for my DH and someone mentioned buying a season of Top Gear. DH has never seen an episode of this- I'm not even sure he ever heard of it, but I think he would love it. Anyways, I was about to buy him a season when I noticed they have the full episodes available online for free. It seems like a waste of money to buy something you can just watch online. Is there any reason why the DVD set is better?
