This may be a stupid question, but I got a Megablocks wagon with a TON of blocks at a used toy sale and plan to give them to DD for Christmas. The question is, what is the best way to clean them? Wiping each individual block will take me an eternity! I considered the bathtub or dishwasher??? I'd have to run the dishwasher 5 times! Any suggestions? Thanks!!

I would think the dishwasher would be best. But the bathtub would be fine too. With the tub you are also going to have to find some where to sit to let them dry.

DH soaked ours in the tub with vinegar, hot water and some castile soap. He visually checked them over and scrubbed some of them.

I soaked ours in hot water and vinegar in batches and then put them in the sun to dry.

Yeah, I am not sure how to dry them without DD seeing them! I might wash up a handful before Christmas and do the rest after!

For the dishwasher, do you just use the top rack or can they go on the bottom? I am wierd about plastic in the dishwasher...

Generally plastic can go in the bottom IF you don't use heat on the dry setting (so find a no heat/low heat setting for drying and use that)

You're all going to think I'm crazy but my sons sitter left his outside and they got rained on and grimey (is that a word?) from being in the grass. He had so many I just took my cance and put them in the washng machine with some bleach with warm water and they came great. Dryng them was a huge pain

In a mesh bag inside the front loader. I put them out in the sun on towels to dry.
