DS is 3, recently potty trained. Out of no where today he wants to wear a diaper and he has been crying everytime he has gas. (He has had a LOT of gas today. Several times an hour) He keeps crying " I toot". He hasn't pooped all day, so I don't know if he is constipated or what. When I ask him if it hurts he says yes and points to his butt.

Does this warrant a doctors visit? Any thoughts on what it could be or what I could do to help him out? He even woke-up during his nap a few times crying that he tooted.

I feel so bad for him.

I might put a call in and try some OTC remedy, fiber, fruit juice, prunes, something to get thing out of there. Hope he feels better soon.

That stinks, poor kid.

Is he on antibiotics? DD always gets crazy gassy when she's on antibiotics. Probiotics can help a lot if he's not properly digesting food.

It sounds like he is constipated to me. I think that it is now uncomfortable and it isn't the gas. Just in my thinking about it, I feel better if I pass gas if I am having gas pains, it doesn't hurt when I am doing it. Sorry tmi but kwim?

Miralax has saved my girls. Ask your ped about dosage etc. A little miralax mixed into some straight (no water added) pear juice and my LO's are quickly relieved! They love it b/c its the only time they get the juice.
