DD is 20 months. She's in love with the LeapFrog Fridge Phonics Magnetic Alphabet Set (http://www.amazon.com/LeapFrog-Fridge-Phonics-Magnetic-Alphabet/dp/B000096QNK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=toys-and-games&qid=1260406084&sr=8-1). Carries the main unit around and presses the button to make it sing the alphabet song over and over and over and over...... She dances & stomps to the music. I'd like to get her a little nursery-rhyme filled radio or something like that. What would be good? ANYTHING so that I don't have to hear this alphabet song any more!

How about this? http://www.amazon.com/Playskool-Made-MP3-Music-Player/dp/B000YOPKTS DS got one last Christmas and really liked it. The only issue we had was you can also record on it and if you don't fill the whole thing up you get these weird little noises from them pressing record. Other than that, it's really nice. Comes with some kids songs, but you can load your own on as well. Last year there were some really good deals on it.

WE have that one. Paid $70 for it. I wouldn't buy it at that price again. It loses the music-selection you are on (there are severla "tracks" you can have) and goes back to default everytime the music box times out. (including how it plays, etc.)

I definitely wouldn't pay that either...I think his was around $30 right before Christmas. For that price I figured there's not a whole lot of better options!

We just got this one (in beautiful lilac). It is wonderful. I don't want them wearing headphones, my girls just love playing this in the car. I fill it songs from my computer, and they just run with it! They are 3 and 4. It seems very durable, and quite ready to be bounced and bumped around :)

I love the Leap Frog Learn and Groove Radio. DS got it last Christmas at 12mo, and still plays with it today (2yrs). It plays the little songs in both spanish and english, and they can turn the "pages" to choose different topics/songs.
