My son has to buy slippers for a 10-year old girl for a school holiday project, but I have no idea what size to get! Size 6 maybe? I know there will be a range, but any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks--

There will be a range, did they give no input?

My kids have freakishly small feet :ROTFLMAO: but I know of 5th graders wearing 4-6.

Jeepers!

When I was 10, I was already wearing ladies' shoe sizes ... but we're all big in my family (I am 5'8", my sister is 5'7" and our brothers are 6'+) so that's not the best gauge.

My "niece" (BFF's daughter) is 10, but wears a ladies' 5 or 6 (her mom is 5'11" and her dad is 6'+ ... kid didn't have a chance) ... again, it depends on the kid.

I'd go with ladies' sizes ... there are some super-cute Nick & Nora slippers at Target right now (that I covet myself, frankly) that would work fine, but I'd like a little more information.

If this is for a charity, I've called charities' home offices before to get a better handle on shopping; if you can get the info, I'd do that before you bought something the poor kid can't use!

My feet stopped growing at age 10 or 11 - I was wearing ladies 10s.
I don't think you can make any kind of reasonable guess based on age alone.

No real advise, but I'd definitely included a gift receipt in case the size you buy doesn't fit.

Thank guys. I bought Old Navy 5-6 slippers, and got a gift receipt. Target was super low on everything!

Hope they fit, or she can exchange them...

I think you made a right choice. As someone whose worn a size 9 or 10 foot since I was 11 or 12 and hadn't been a 6 since I was 8 the one thing that would've made my life easier would've been a gift receipt!

Yeah, I don't think there's a way to predict very well. Maybe slipper socks...I've seen some that are kinda one-size fits all in the past.

I'm an adult who wears a women's 4-5 (can only wear a 5 in a sneaker or boot, I walk out of a size 5 pump) or a kid's 2.5-3. I have *super* small feet.

When I was a freshman in high school I wore a child's size 1 shoe LOL. DS is almost 6 and wears a kid size 13 so only one size smaller than I was as a freshman in highschool.
