in search of winter accessories as a gift

I've been searching for a soft cashmere winter accessory set (scarf and mittens) for my best friend, and I haven't had very much luck so far. I've tried LL bean (the retail store nearby has a cute cashmere scarf with a small pocket, but I don't think my best friend will like the striped mittens). I'm planning on visiting Macy's soon, but would definitely appreciate any other suggestions. Thank you.

I've rec'd some really nice sets from JCrew. What about Landsend? I would also check TJMaxx/Marshall's, I know they have cashmere scarves but not sure about sets. Can't hurt to look.

Macy's is currently advertising a cashmere sale - 40% off gloves/hats/scarves, though you may end up picking up pieces individually. IDK that they carry them in sets.

I wish my sister would wear a hat; she'd look SO CUTE in the one I saw on TV!!!
