Oy, this is killing me. I need creative help!

DDs have the ikea doll bed, rec'd last year for Christmas from MIL. (http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/10101664)

Fancy Nancy has a canopy bed for Mirabella. Soooooo, now they want canopies on the beds.

I found the absolute perfect one, but it's for Groovy Girl dolls, so way too small. http://www.amazon.com/Groovy-Girls-Style-Canopy-Mode/dp/B0001NEBVU/ref=pd_sbs_t_2

This might be OK but I can't find the size and I don't think it would pass the fancy nancy comparison test. http://www.amazon.com/Groovy-Girls-That-Glitters-Canopy/dp/B0009XBZ5M/ref=pd_sbs_t_1

SO - if anyone can give me any ideas on how I could figure out how to MAKE a canopy frame - please let me know!! I do not want to buy a whole new bed, since MIL will be po'd, even though she is only here 1-2x/year, she definitely checks to make sure her stuff is in use. And I don't want to spend a fortune.

I've been googling and binging like crazy and can't find JUST a canopy. GAH!

OK. So I would get tule or light fabric in the colors you want.. And a hot glue gun. And wire or those thin dry cleaner coat hangers. Bend the coat hangers into the shape you want. I don't know what you want to do to fasten them to the bed. Tape of some sort? The do make colored duct tape, that could be an option :) Take one color of tule/fabric and cut it to a little bigger than the distance between the coat hangers. I would pin it under first and then hot glue it down. Or you could sew it if you sew. Then I would start on the bottom of the swags and then attach the tops with hot glue and cut away the extra. If you wanted extra fancy you could get some tiny tassels or trip and add that around-and it might help hide some of the hot glue work :) But really this is where I would start-I'm not sure where it would migrate to.
