View Full Version : Stocking stuffer ideas for parents (DD's grandparents)?

My mom likes to do stockings for our kids, but I feel like they already go way overboard with other gifts, and I'd like to have something more for her & my dad to open. So I think I'll make them a couple of stockings, but I need some ideas for what else I can put in them (right now I've got an ornament, a cd, and a nice dish scrubber) :). I'll probably put some of their favorite candies in there, too. Can you think of some other smaller items that people in their early 60's would like?

TIA!

My parents love those lighted magnifying glass things (I buy them at the container store), they use them in restaurants & etc. And they both manage to lose them again by Dec every year, so it is a yearly gift!

Besides lots of candy & an ornament w/ the kids pictures, my Mom's stocking will have cheesy Christmas socks (Kohl's for $2.50), a magnetic shopping list ($1 at Michael's), fragrance atomizer ($5 at Nordstrom), Dad gets some golf related things, a can of Mixed Nuts and a gag gift if I can find one (this year's is a joke thing that pops a golf out of the hole, last year's was a screaming flying monkey).

HTH!

Does either of them do crossword puzzles? How about a pocket dictionary?

Do they like Sudoku or crosswords? I saw some sudoku books and crossword books at Target in the dollar section.
