Holiday punch for Kids Christmas party

I was hoping to make individual ice cream floats, but can't find a recipe. Anyone have any punch recipes maybe with ice cream that they can suggest?

My aunt Monica used to make what she called a "fizzy" ... basically fruit punch, ginger ale or Sprite/7-Up and rainbow sherbet all mixed together in a punch bowl.

Thanks Liz, I just found a recipe like that on Cooks.com that I am going to make.

I made one for a cookie swap a few years ago that had candy canes crumbled on top and I was hoping to find something like that again.

I know you already found a recipe, but I can't resist sharing. It's so yummy, I always look for excuses to make this:

Chocolate Milk Punch

1 gal chocolate milk in a punch bowl
scoops of vanilla ice cream floating on top - 1 scoop per person + a few extras
real whipped cream to generously cover the top of the ice cream scoops
chocolate shavings for garnish
Let it sit for a little while so that the ice cream starts to melt. You can also add a tiny bit of almond flavoring to the whipped cream to make it extra rich.

Was above with the punch, ginger ale and sherbert. Always a hit!
