Would you make cookies with *expired* (one month ago) Craisins? Bag is unopened....

Yes, I would. That wouldn't bother me in the slightest. Assuming they taste fine, which I feel sure they would that soon after the expiration.

Yes, I think they should be fine.

Yeah I likely would. I'd smell and try one first.

If it is unopened and they look/smell fine I would. When food is shelf stable and "expired" I often ignore it! :)

It's probably a sell-by date, not a use-by date anyway. Go for it.

Yes. I can't even tell you how long I use things like raisins LOL!!!

Yes, I would. I consider the date more of a "best by" than an expiration.

I would without giving it a second thought. As long as they are still soft and not hard and dried up, no problem.

Yes. I would.

Yes, as long as there was no stench and I wouldn't worry about it.

I should have done this as a poll. It would have been the second in less than a week at 100%. LOL

Thanks ladies.

So far, I've made another batch of Beth's rolled sugar cookie dough (resting in fridge overnight). Am currently making chocolate chip cookies. Next up is drop shortbread. Craisin Apricot cookies are on the list for tomorrow, along with the sugar cookies.

Using expired craisins right now. They stay fresh forever.

Yum! Apricot craisan sounds awesome! Can you post the recipe if you have time- maybe while the cookies are baking/cooling ;) Thanks!

I would...In fact, I think I have.

Lol, I would too. If they are too dry, I might even soak a bit in warm water to moisten.

As I am reading this my dd is telling me about a dream where the dog became human and baked cookies, lol. Kind of ironic! ;)
