We love our Gund Comfy Cozy Cows....they are super soft and silky. Very loved by both DDs. Whatever you choose to get, I recommend getting at least 2 if not 3. We had to do a switch on some loveys because they were discontinued and were very expensive on ebay.

My Mom bought this (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=390117215860) for DD from Target. I love it - its about the size of a wash cloth and THE softest thing I've ever felt. Its very easy to take everywhere and keep clean.

Thanks for recommending these, Melaine. I got one for DD and she really took to it. When she was younger, I started with a small square from Walmart wtih different "tags" on it. I like to start my kids with a small square and then when they get older, introduce other blankets and see what they take to.
