We have had 2 laptops but they were purchased when we were each students in some capacity and now I am not in school at all and my husband does not need a laptop often for school. We wanted a desktop instead but did not want to spend the money when we have two decent MacBook Pros. I found this site when ordering something for work:

and we are arranged to trade in 1 of the MacBook Pros. The credit given to us is most of the cost of what an iMac will be and so we are getting a brand new iMac without draining our pocketbooks. So now we will have a desktop and a laptop to share and can avoid the double laptop usage while vegging out in the evenings thing. We are getting as much or more credit with them as we would get cash if we went to sell it on Craigslist (if it would even sell there). I recommend it for folks looking to, for whatever reason, replace a newer Mac.
