...on a pregnancy test- would that be a positive? It's not dark, but there's definitely a faint line. DH isn't buying it (I think because we had to do fertility to get DD- so this would be a serious Christmas surprise for us!)

As long as the faint line showed up in the cutoff amount of time listed on the package - it's positive. Congrats.

Take it again in a few days! I got that with this baby and immediately went to the dr. and then failed that test. Still no period a few days later, an instant dark line and passed the drs. test. Congratulations!

I agree a line is a line. But to convince DH maybe run out and get a clear blue easy digital to take first thing in the am. So fun to see it actually say the word "pregnant."

That line will show up a little darker every day (if you kept taking tests.) Congrats!!!

A line is a line. Like pp said, you need to see the line in the time allotted though or it could be false. Congratulations!!!!

There is no such thing as faintly pregnant so a faint line (within the time frame) means you have Hcg registering on the test- you are pregnant. Congrats.

Yep, a line is a line as long as it is read in the specified test period.

We went through IF treatments (injectables/IUI) to have my oldest and have had two "happy surprises" since then. My pregnancy with my DD started out as a *very* faint line that my DH didn't believe either, despite my insistence that after hanging out at infertility boards for a long time when TTC DS, a line is definitely a line ;)

Congrats!!! :boogie: :yay: :cheerleader1:

I took one, thought it was negative, threw it in the trash. DH was rechecking them and showed me that there was a faint line. I didn't really believe it for some reason. Took a digital and it was +.

Followed the advice here and took the digital- I'M PREGNANT!!!!!!!! (just seeing those words makes me get all misty eyed! Is that hormones??) :yay:

It is the most unexpected, wonderful Christmas surprise ever for us! We were planning on heading back to the fertility doc in Jan. We wanted to have a baby before DD was 3...she'll be 2 in June and this baby is due in August.

Thanks Ladies and Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays to you all!

A positive is a positive is a positive. If it's there, it's positive. If you ahve to squint to see it, but it *is* there, it's positive.

However, I've had one bad test that gave me a false positive. That's why you take two.

My faint "is that a line or a shadow?" line is trying to trick Santa into thinking she's asleep in her room right now...

my (DH:) "you're imagining it. you're NOT pregnant." line is sleeping peacefully in his bed.

Congratulations!!!!
