Learning Express returns - are they strict?

I got a gift there from my SIL which she said she got there but didn't give me the gift receipt. i would LOVE to return it, owndering if anyone knows if they'll return without gift receipt.

also, do they check to see if it was open? of course mine was but it was barely touched...just taken out of the box for effect. will they care?

Mine is pretty easy with returns, but I feel like you've still been able to see the little white square price tag a bit in the corner still, you know? That way they KNOW it was from them even without a receipt (and I've returned lots of bday presents that didn't have the receipt). And they've never really inspected it.
