how long can cookie dough stay in fridge?

I made cookie dough christmas eve, put it in the fridge to chill, and still haven't baked it. Could I still use it a week later or should I toss it?

I've kept it in there for weeks and the cookies were still great. :)

I've also kept cookie dough in the fridge for about a week and the cookies turned out just fine.

you can also freeze it! I would take the time to form cookies and then freeze on a baking sheet and then toss in a freezer bag
