I've been admiring some Cole Haan and Via Spiga riding boots. Anyone have a personal favorite or recommendation for a knee-high (or just below the knee) in a nice brown or black leather? With preferably a low to medium heel. I want to get a brown pair and also a black pair. I'm 5' 2", so a medium shaft height would be nice (14"). I'm a size 7.5.
I love the look of this one, but not available in my size.

Thanks for any recs!

I was going to recommend the two pairs that I bought at Banana but they are no longer online...but here are some worth looking at from Garnet Hill. This is the sale link, there are more non-sale. Maybe a good lead for you:

Though they may be pricey, JCrew has some excellent quality and long lasting riding boots in a variety of colors and styles.

I own a few of theirs and a pair of Frye boots that I practically live in 24/7:

Thanks everyone for some great ideas! I ultimately couldn't resist some J Crew boots. They were hard to find, but with a little persistence and patience, I was able to find a couple of pairs that I wanted from there. Both full price boots and sale ones are impossible to find anymore in any sizes at J Crew, since most retail stores don't carry boots. Only major flagship type stores carry them. And so many sizes were sold out online.
I got the Bronwyn Burnished Leather in brown and black and also a Nottingham Flat Leather in pony brown. Couldn't resist, and my wallet is hating me right now!

In case it isn't too late, I'm IN LOVE with my Merrell Spire Peak (http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/2963105?Category=&Search=True&SearchType=keywordsearch&keyword=spire+peak&origin=searchresults) boots.

Nice! Do you wear those just when you're out in weather, or do you wear them all day long?
