that is basic bottom fridge top freezer. No cosmetic issues.

Not much - maybe $50-$75.

Pocket change. I'd expect it would end up costing me $20 to throw away sooner rather than later, plus would be expensive electricity-wise.

ITA with Caroline. It's 16 years old; not much usable life left, probably. $25-50 for me. But I think I'd check my local CL to see what they were asking for about that age, too.

I was thinking $25 also. Around here the power co. gives you more than that for an old fridge though. Might be worth checking incentives where you live.

Thanks, we were looking to buy a fridge and on our craigslist they were asking 125. I thought that was too much so I thought I would ask.

Thanks ladies!!

The government is doing a Cash for Clunkers in a few months but for Appliances. Tax rebate if you buy an Energy Saver appliance plus additional rebates if you recycle your old one. Actual terms vary by state. I think you'd get far more from that than you could selling a 16 year old fridge.

Very little, if anything. I'd be concerned it might not last long or that it would not be energy efficient.

About two years ago I sold a refrigerator that was about 4 years old for $100 on CL. It was a fairly basic model with no cosmetic issues. It sold promptly, but with only one person expressing interest. Maybe that helps give you some idea.

I would expect someone to pay me to haul it away. It's going to cost a lot in electricity to operate it. And it isn't going to last long.
