I was at my favorite thrift store today looking for crutches for DH who just twisted his ankle and decided to take a look at the furniture section. Way up high on a platform where all the really crappy stuff is, I spotted a natural colored Learning Tower... The price? a whopping $14.99...and 15% off!! After all was said and done I paid about $13 for my new Learning Tower. It is in absolutely PERFECT condition too!!!
I will be on a serious high for a while after that find!!!!
I just had to share, cuz I know you all will know what kind of excitement that brings!

Great find! So will you give us a hint what kind of store this was? Goodwill, Salvation Army, a local thrift store? I'm all about the details. And by the way, I love that you went there looking for crutches. Very smart and it just wouldn't occur to most people:thumbsup:

I found it at a local thrift store called American Thrift, in Hollywood, FL. I have gotten sooooo many great items there...most recently I got:
Take-Along Thomas Carnival, full set - $4.99
M & D unit blocks - $2.99
Brand new Geox sneakers for DS - $2.99
Brand new Stride Rite dress shoes for DS - $3.99
M & D folding wood puppet theater with 5 finger puppets - $5.99
Countless clothing items from Gymbo, Gap, TCP, Carters, HA, etc. Yesterday I picked up a Gymbo winter outfit in perfect condition for DS for $3.
Needless to say, I LOVE that store!!!:jammin:

wow--that's the sorta thrifting that just might get me to go back to a thrift store. our local goodwill is a tremendous disappointment to me everytime :( consignment around here isn't good enough to keep me going back either....
this reminds me though- i do have some consignment i wanted to drop off (not kids) i should probably get around to that.

I'm not a huge fan of consignment stores, I find them overpriced in comparison to my thrift store finds. I'm lucky that I have a lot of good thrift stores around. My problem is I just don't have the time to shop them all, or the space to store all the treasures!
