I am going to have to vote on this. Computer Engineer Barbie is the only thing DH could tolerate - he would run to the store to buy one each for DDs!!
Hmmm, imagine the Marketing & movie tie-ins. "The system was crashing, but Barbie brought up a DOS shell and entered the program to save the day!" Get your Barbie Laptop and C++ Users Guide NOW!!! :hysterical:
Personally, I would prefer News Anchor Barbie - my dream job!!

How fantastic! I still hate Barbie, but this may almost redeem the whole "Math is hard" debacle.

Cute idea and all, but how exactly would you make a Barbie computer engineer? Give her a laptop?
I am a computer engineer and I look just like everyone else. No uniform, just casual clothes! :D

OK, I voted for the Computer Engineer.
But...
When I was at Target the other night, I saw the 1960s Vintage Nurse Barbie (http://www.target.com/Barbie-Vintage-Career-Doll-Registered/dp/B002TRREQK/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&searchView=grid5&frombrowse=0&node=1038576&keywords=nurse%20barbie&field_browse=1038576&searchSize=30&id=Barbie%20Vintage%20Career%20Doll%20Registered&field_availability=-2&refinementHistory=subjectbin%2Ctarget_com_age%2Cta rget_com_gender-bin%2Ctarget_com_character-bin%2Cprice%2Ctarget_com_primary_color-bin%2Ctarget_com_size-bin%2Ctarget_com_brand-bin&searchNodeID=1038576&field_launch-date=-1y&searchRank=target104545&searchPage=1&field_keywords=nurse%20barbie). I'm seriously wanting that doll for myself.

LOL, we'll definitely support the computer engineer too! I'll have to see if DH will pass the link around at his work!
I voted for computer engineer, but they were all pretty cool careers, especially surgeon and architect!

Can I vote for surgeon? Please, pretty please?

This is what I wondered too.

you know I voted!
but yeah, Barbie already has a laptop and the right clothes for this, so I guess they just need to add some toys on her desk from conferences, an id badge from Oracle Open World, and some slices of cold pizza.

See, my issue with architect is the phrasing. An Architect DOESN'T make sure they're safe & sturdy. That's the civil engineer's job. (Says the CE whose friend used to BE that engineer for the architecture firms around.)

I mentioned this to DH (a computer engineer) and he's wondering where we can vote for Stay-at-home-Dad Ken. :ROTFLMAO:

Can someone explain this to me? I don't get it. I keep reading it and I can't figure out what this means and why it's funny. :bag
Am I the only one bothered by the glasses on computer engineer Barbie?
ETA: Though the glasses do look cute.

I thought it was funny that she had a bluetooth thing on. I don't know any engineers that wear those.
