Can my IKEA stacking cups go in the dishwasher?

They're the cheap $3 ones with holes and patterns on. It says wash with mild soap and water, but they seem like the perfect thing to just put in the dishwasher. Anyone tried it? Or should I be concerned since they're plastic and will leak their toxic chemical if thrown in there (sort of kidding, but could this happen)? DD puts EVERYTHING in her mouth!!!

I wouldn't dishwash them based on the washing instructions. Handwashing them should be enough but if you want to do more make a solution of 50/50 vinegar and water, hand wash them and spray or dunk them in the vinegar solution....the vinegar will kill any bacteria/germs remaining after the hand wash.
