:yay: :yay: :yay: Her brother's friend just called again and they're alive!!! They were all in the house when it collapsed and when their friends were finally able to get up to the house this morning they could hear them calling. They were dug out this morning and are all dehydrated, cuts, bruises, a couple of broken bones but they're going to be okay!!! It was her mom, grandmother, grandfather, another aunt, 1 yo cousin. She is just so thankful and beyond words right now :yay:
Our receptionist is from Haiti and has a lot of family still there. Her youngest brother lives here with her and her son. Her brother's friend called this morning with the news that her mom is still missing. He went by their house early today and it is gone. Her mom was in the capital yesterday and she spoke with her around 4 and her mom was getting ready to go home (they live about an hour away) but she thinks her mom probably got caught up visiting like usual.
They haven't heard anymore and she is unable to get through to anyone there.
Eta: She just found out that her aunt (her mom's sister) had been home sick and was in her house. Still no word on her mom :(
She still hasn't heard from/about her mom but did hear that one of her uncles and little cousin are hurt but going to be okay. Another uncle works in one of the schools that collapsed and no one survived there
