DH and I are looking into new bedroom furniture for our DC.

Does anyone on here have an Ikea bed? More specifically the kids bunk beds?

What are your thoughts/feedback? TIA!

We do, we have the gray metal looking one and it works great! I always wanted white painted buns (I have 2 dd's), but their room is pink and green and the gray of the bunk looks great actually. It is a smooth feel, but not cold like metal is. It is a great value!

I looked at them, but the ones we saw didn't come apart as two individual twins. We really need that feature, so we went with wooden ones that are able to debunk. Maybe some of them do. (?)

We too are wanting the ability to separate into two single twin beds if need arises. Did you purchase from Ikea? What did you select?

Both of our girls have the Ikea Hemnes beds (http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/S19848055)(in white). Love them!

DD#1 also has the Hemnes 3-drawer dresser (http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/20067829)and the nightstand (now discontinued, but with a door and a drawer, similar to this: http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/10141858).

DD#2 has the (now discontinued) nightstand and will get the dresser soon. Both girls also have Billy short bookcases in their rooms.

We are very happy with the furniture. Quality is good, price is right.

My kids have loft beds from there and I love them. We got them off of craigslist so they're older and made of solid wood.

DS has an Ikea Hemnes bed and I've been considering getting the same one in white for DD when she needs one. We really like it a lot.

DS2 has the Trofast extendable bed and we like it so far.
