Where is a good and economical place to buy letters to hang over DD's crib? We want to spell out her name! We would love ones with hooks and bows... etsy seller recs or online retailers?

If you're feeling crafty these letters can be found at Michaels, AC Moore etc for cheap. The only catch is painting them and attaching the ribbon yourself. I remember seeing painted ones at BRU (white only) but they were around $7 each letter without ribbon. I'm sure you could find someone at Etsy to make you some that match your nursery, but I imagine the cost being more than DIY. I was planning on painting/hanging ours but never got around to it. I should have just ordered them!

I got my letters at BRU for 5 bucks each- they came with ribbons (blue, pink and green) or you could hang them with nails instead.

Total cost was about $20 for us- you may want to consider not hanging over the bed, or hanging high, because once DC grows, those letters will be banging against the wall!!!:ROTFLMAO:

I think I saw some on sale at Company Kids, but some of the letters were OOS.

I picked some up at JoAnns (craft store) for $1 apiece, smaller and unfinished, I think they had others up to $5 apiece in various sizes and levels of finish/unfinished.

I make my own. I used small canvases and painted my sons name in a classic pooh theme to match his nursery since I couldn't find any good ones to match. They are super light weight and easy to hang so I have never worried about them falling off and hurting DS either. They turned out so well that family and friends have been comissioning me to make some for their kids.

If you can paint then you can make your own also.

I can include pics later so you can see an example.

Got mine at Hobby Lobby. They were already white and had a nice finish. I painted mine to match the nursery theme. The font was the "Ravie" (?) font. Kind of funky looking, might not work for a boy. But the letters were like $2.99. And then the usual 40% off.

I have these same ones for DD! I think they're really cute. I am not very crafty, but I painted them and am happy with how they turned out.

I've been meaning to get some from Michael's (different font) for DS.

Thanks :D

I have actually been thinking about opening an etsy store... I think it would be much easier than setting up a webpage on my own.

Thanks for the confidence boost.

I stumbled upon this blog yesterday and thought she does super cute work! I was thinking of contacting her to do something for our nursery.
