Even though I don't plan on having my baby ride with them anytime soon, my ILs are bugging me about getting a car seat for their car. I figure I better figure out what they should get before they pick up a random seat somewhere because it's on sale. I haven't even started researching convertible seats for us yet, so I don't even know where to start.
DS is 11 weeks old, and almost 14 lbs, he is 75th percentile in length.
My ILs drive a 1996ish Montana minivan, and a 2009 Chevy Malibu.
I need something easy to install b/c my FIL does not have patience and will give up and drive with it incorrectly installed. Even if we install it for them, I'm sure they will remove it and move the cars around. This is why I don't really want my baby riding with them.
As he will rarely be using it, we want this seat to last a long time. Does anyone have a suggestion? I'm completely lost when it comes to the convertible seats.
