Does anyone have a bookshelf like this? Wondering if it's a good deal for DD's playroom...

I prefer bookshelves where you can see the front covers of the books.

wow! thats a great deal but i feel like its just a waste of space since its so wide. just my thought. my 3 YO can pick out pretty much any of her books from the binding.

I looked into those but I think it misses the point because your DC can't see most the covers - too much fabric. I bought one that shows the whole cover (similar to http://www.amazon.com/Toy-Storage-Display-Guidecraft-G6415/dp/B0018ZOLTC/ref=sr_1_sc_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1263853038&sr=1-7-spell). A really cheap & nifty option is this: http://www.trelease-on-reading.com/oliver.html

We have that one and used it for the play room and got a bigger one to hold the books in his room. We liked that one. Its held up well and while you can't see the names of the books, for the play room, its not that big a deal. It holds the books and is very sturdy.

That is a good price. When I was looking I think they were around $50.
We have one of these and I love it. We use it for seasonal books so it gets changed for every holiday/season. Bigger books can be seen easily over the fabric. It's true that you can't see smaller books, but I still like it because the books are not stuffed on a shelf or in a basket (like most of our books!). It is a nice space saver too.
The kids do pick books from here more than the bookshelf because they are easier to access.

I looked at that bookcase style for a while and often saw them around that price. We finally decided to go with the the gutter bookshelves. I love them and think they look nice rather than another smallish item to store kids - they make a more decorative statement on the wall.

Does anyone have the OneStepAhead version? I've been looking at that but waiting for a good coupon code over there.
