anyone have this? picked it up at target's 75% sale. wondering if it should go back

My 12yo sister got this for Christmas last yr and it was the biggest mess. She played with it initially when she got it but that was it. My mom ended up throwing it away b/c it was such a mess.

can you make your own things? why so messy? tell me more?

i didn't even check does it take batteries? I think it was something like $8 or $6 dollars.

Yes you make your own things. I think the factory came with stuff to make lip gloss and maybe a face mask? I can't remember exactly. The biggest mess was the fragrance oil to make different smells. There are lots of add on kits. If the child had help it would probably be easier. But my sister made a huge mess making the various items, granted she isn't the neatest kid to begin with!
I don't think it took batteries but I could be wrong.
