I'm a first time mom with a 2.5 month baby girl...so I apologize in advance for any silly questions :)

For the last day or so, my DD has been sleepier than usual. Last night she actually slept for 8 hours (9-ish pm to almost 6am) straight, and this morning, her grandma (who takes care of her during the day) said that she wasn't as perky as usual. She was still playing and active, but just not as perky, according to grandma. Of course, this could be her grandma over-reacting. But I just want to make sure that this is normal, and not something I need to freak out about.

Thanks!

JS

This could be the result of a growth spurt- she might be exhausting herself growing.

I would give it a day or two. If she really seems off, or doesn’t perk up in a day or two, I would give the Ped a call. And trust your instincts- if it doesn’t feel right now, give the Ped a call.

It's always worth a phone call. I would rather "look silly" in front of my Ped, than panicked in the ER.

In the meantime- enjoy the sleep at night!
