DD will be 2 in February, and while she IS a peanut..I'm still having a hard time deciding which size diaper to buy for her. She's wearing size 4 or 5 Luvs, which - despite the weird/narrow fit - have NEVER leaked on us! In the size 4's, it seems like I have to try to center her booty a bit, but they can hold what's dished out to 'em! :ROTFLMAO: The 5's seem to be a bit wide/tall so I have to fold them over a bit. Any opinions on which to stick with as the 4's are obviously a better deal for the $, but want her to be comfortable.

ETA: At her last check-up a couple of months ago she was only she was a little over 22 lbs., so she's probably within the weight range of size 4 still. Maybe she just has a big booty?

DD wears Huggies size 4 (the cheaper Huggies--from Costco). She technically is still in the weight range for size 3, and I do still have a few around (in spare bags and such), and they do still work. But the 4s are just easier to deal with.

DD turned 2 last week. She weighs almost 25 lbs. and is about 33" tall. Also a peanut. :)

Tiny-butted 2 yo and big-butted 7mo are both in size 4 and both in hanna size 80. I think you should consider moving her up soon.

DS is 2.5 and he has been in size 5 for about a year now. He's on the big side though (at his 2 year check he was 95% for height and 75% for weight).

DD is in a 6. She has her 2 year-old check up next month (3 months late), but currently she weighs about 30lbs.

He was a 4 from 2-2.5 and now we just moved to 5's. He's 50% for weight and height.

DS2 is almost 2 and has been in size 4 (Target house brand) for 6 mo. I think.

My 2 yr old DD wears size 2t-3t pull ups. We are close to being potty trained. Yay!

I voted other- DD is wearing size 5s, but I am thinking of moving her to size 6. She has been getting little red marks where the elastic is on her leg, probably a sign! :)
But, she did pee in the potty for the first time last night :cheerleader1: so hopefully we won't need them much longer!!

DS2 was 2 in December. He weighs 25 pounds and is 25th percentile and has been in size 5 Pampers for months.

Umm, yeah, I'm putting my not so small 2 1/2 year old in a size 3 huggies still. It still fits; doesn't leak, why move up?

I think he's been in a size 3 since before he turned 1. I really don't remember. I was close to moving up when he decided to start growing up instead of out. He's been right around 31 pounds for 6 months now, but has been gaining height much faster than weight for almost a year. He's just over 36 inches now.

I put him in 4's at night for the past few months because he has leaked overnight. I have about 1/2 a case of 3's left and was planning on buying 4's permanently when these were gone, but we're going to PT this weekend, so he may never technically wear a size 4.

DD is 22 months and I hope to keep her in 3s for a loooooooong time. The fit fine.

DS is 4 now, but he PT'ed at age 2.5 and was in size 4 at the time. He was big - 75th percentile for height and weight - well over 30 lbs at 24 mos. He was briefly in size 5's, but exchanged some girth for height and went back to size 4's.

Turned 2 in Dec. and wears a 3 in the majority of the brands.

My 22 month old just moved to size 5. DH thinks they are too big on him, but I would say hes 29 lbs or so. The size 4 were getting really hard to fasten around his waist. They looked uncomfortable. I think size 5 fits good.

See, this is us. Well, my 2 year old is pretty small, but she'd been wearing size 3 Cruisers with zero leaks so I haven't bothered to switch.

I found 3 cases of size 4 Cruisers on clearance at Target for 50% off and we'll start using those when the case of 3's I just opened is gone. My hope is that they will be the last dipes I buy for her. She's already interested in PT.

Arwyn is a little over 2.5. She's been wearing size 4 forever, but can wear size 5. I just have to cinch it in a little more. She's a peanut too. She has been wearing size 5 Overnights before because she's a very heavy wetter.

Hannah has always been my little peanut. When she was two, I think that she was in size 3's. And when she turned 3 went into 4's.

I'm thinking this diaper size range is crazy! :) My size 3 wearing ds is 25lbs and 33", same stats as some kiddos that are wearing a 5. He is still comfy in 3's, they don't leak and you get more in the pack for the same $. :)

Yea, I don't have a 2yo yet, but I wanted to read the replies. Um, my 4mo is in 3s. :ROTFLMAO: 3s must last forever.

(My 21mo is in 4s in name brands; 5s in generics. Earths Best are KILLIN me because the sizes look exactly the same, and I have 1 LO in 3s, 1 LO in 4s.)

DD is in size 4s, she is almost 20 mos. I just got some size 5s, because getting her into the 4s was too much effort. The size range on the diapers are ridiculous. She was in 4s for almost a year though.

DD was in size 4 Cruisers forever. We recently switched to 5s because the 4s seemed a little short. She's on the tall and thin side.

My older son wore size 4 until he PT'ed a little past 2-1/2.

My younger son is 21 months old and in size 4. He's been in size 4 forever it seems and I wasn't planning on moving him out anytime soon. After reading this thread, though, I am thinking about trying size 5. I was thinking just to leave him in size 4 like his bro, but he's heftier (27lbs, no idea how tall) and 5 might be better. 4 does leave a few marks.

DS is in size 5 Kirkland diapers. I have tried the 4s since I know it's a better deal but they seem to small for him.

I voted other b/c 2.5 yr old ds has been in underwear for 2 weeks now! WooooHoooooo!!

He's small - 28lbs - and he had been wearing sz 4 Huggies Supreme as well as overnights. Now his "crib undies" (aka pull-ups, ssshhh) are 2t Seventh Generation. He's wearing them for nighttime only and it's working great b/c they are much more like cloth and don't look anything like prior diapers. Not that you asked, but I recommend them if you need something transitional.

For a few weeks I had the new baby and ds1 in Huggies Pure & Natural. The designs on those are very light and more than once I put the size 4 dipe on the size 2 babe, accidentally. Worked surprisingly fine. Not so much the other way around!

The twins turned 24mo in November and at that time they were still in Huggies 3's. However now, 2 months later, I've switched them to 4's because they started leaking more often. At their 24mo well baby apt they weighed 24lbs.

DD who is now almost 4 was just under 30lbs at her 2 yr. appt. We used 7th Gen. diapers for the most part so she was in a 5, but in a pinch where either we forgot a diaper at My Gym class and they were out of 5s or 4 she was still skinny enough to get into a size 3 Luvs or Huggies. She was in size 5s until she potty trained at 37 mos.; she still weighed between 30 and 33lbs. then!

Yeah, diapers will fit differently depending on the shape of the child. The upper limits on the sizes would be for long, skinny kids. A 2-year-old who is 4 feet tall would weigh quite a bit just from bone weight but might still fit in a size 4, which goes to 37 lbs. (Eek! Can you imagine a 4-foot 2-year-old? Talk about car seat problems!)

Despite my exaggeration, the example still holds true.
