In the summer, I live in white v-neck t-shirts. But my old standby's are getting worn, and I can't seem to find any in the stores that aren't see-thru, as I'm not a big fan of layering in the summer. Any suggestions?

did you try lands end? I like their modern fit tshirts, though I've never owned a white one

I used to be ok with Old Navy ones. It's been a while since I bought one though so I can't comment on thinness.

Banana Republic tees don't seem to be too bad if you go for their standard favorite tee over the tissue-weight ones

I tried on one of their white (non-layering version) T's at Sears for sizing when I was returning somethings and it seemed pretty good as far as not being see through.

I loved my J Crew from like 15 years ago, but got some decent scoopnecks from BR last year (or the year before). As long as I wear a nude bra, we're okay.

I'm interested in trying this Hanna (http://www.hannaandersson.com/style.asp?from=SC|1|4|32|51|4||&simg=36566_001), but I'm hoping for something more plain in the summer catalog that goes live March 1.

These Caslon t-shirts are not see-thru. They come in different colors, including white.

I love these shirts. They are a little on the long side, too, which I really like.

My Costco had these Mod Squad (is that the name?) t-shirts right by the entrance, 2 T's for $24. Colors included white and black so I picked up a pack of the long-sleeve T's and cap-sleeve T's. I was impressed as they're great quality, thick, and the white ones are NOT see-through at all. Plus you get the Costco guarantee so if you don't like them after a few washes, you can return them.
