A few days ago, I posted a photo of DD asking if it could be edited to remove some background stuff. SkyrMommy replied that it could be done and she offered to do it for me. I just wanted to share a before and after and send out a big THANK YOU! to her. DH and I both love what she did!

Love, love, love the photo!!! In Photo Shop, you can clone an area (i.e. the door) to cover up something (i.e. the door knob). Unfortunately, I have never taken the time to really learn PS. When DD2 is in school, I would love to take classes for photography and PS.

It's not hard to work with a beautiful photograph! :wink2:

I used Photoshop CS4... I have a wonderful pen tablet that makes smaller touches and work much nicer. The only problem this week is that my computer died (logic board is shot), so I had to finish the rest of the door/reflections on DH's computer.

I was happy to help, it was a nice treat to work with such a pretty photograph & a challenge with recreating the bottom of the door & reflections.

Gorgeous! Wonderful photo and editing! Congrats to you both!

Kim, your DD has a gift. Neither of my little ballerinas can go up on their toes like that (nor can any of the girls at their studio!).

Thank you. She does seem to have a natural talent - they haven't worked en pointe in her class and they don't until they are older. She watches older dancers and tries to copy what they do. We don't encourage her to go on her toes, but I don't want to tell her not to either. I've read that going en pointe too early can affect foot development. She doesn't do it that often, so I'm not worried about it.

I do love this photo and I am so grateful to SkyrMommy for taking the time to do this for me. I will be getting 8x10s for framing for us and my parents and smaller sizes for several other family members and DD's teachers who have each requested one.

I want a copy :D just because it is a beautiful picture...like something you'd buy to decorate a little girl's room.

What a great job! It started as a beautiful photo and got so much more beautiful without the distractions in the background.
