Tonight, for the first time.... my 3 yo speech delayed DD said "Love You" to me. I've never heard that before from her. I immediately turned into a blubbering mess.

Best words I think I may have ever heard!

Hugs & congrats to you!

DD had a *significant* speech delay & her 1st word was "moo". I think I cried for 3 days.

Very VERY happy for you.

I am so happy for you!! Its a wonderful feeling isn't it!?! Noah is speech delayed, I get 'I ove you', I don't care about the L right now, I am so excited about the progress he makes each and every day.

I know this may sound silly to some :), but it meant so much when he could say his name. He could say 'No' very well, LOL, and 'a', but he said his name 'o-a'. When we would work on it the poor little guy would think I was telling him No about something and didn't understand, then realized putting the 2 together was his name!

DH gets words out of Jonas alot more than I do and he says them everyday at school (he has mild autism), but I am so elated when he gives me one :bouncy:.

Its going to be wonderful, you'll see such a difference in a month, then next month, you'll shed alot of tears and hear alot of beautiful music to your ears !!

How wonderful for both of you!

It's been a couple of years, but one of my best memories is still of when DS was about that age and said "I wuff Mum-Mum" for the first time.
