if you reuse the saline nasal spray after you have used it on child who had a cold. not for myself but at a later date if they needed it. i was thinking that it would suck up some of the nasal discharge. i know strange question.

I think if you only squeeze it and don't release the suction while in the nose, it won't get discharge in the bottle. I use simply saline and then clean off the tip after I'm done.

For DD I spend a little more and get the kind in a can just to avoid any chance of it happening. It only goes one way ;).

But for me and DH I just get the regular squeeze bottle. I love the pump ones but haven't found them recently.
