Just got off the phone with Mrs. Jones. We're going to a mutual friend's baby shower today, and she offered to drive me (OMG!!!!!). I called to double check what time she was coming to get me.
In the course of the phone call, she tells me that she is currently working on a carrot cake for the shower. And that last night, Babyjonesette was underfoot while she was trying to move one of the layers onto a cooling rack. And that one of the layers fell on the floor.
And that she's now trying to PIECE IT BACK TOGETHER.
As in, OFF THE FLOOR.
To serve to people.
But "don't worry - my kitchen floor is clean".
Guess I won't be having carrot cake today.

I just love a good Mrs. Jones story!

Will she offer you some complimentary counseling during the car ride?

Gads, I never thought I would agree with Mrs Jones, but that is exactly what I would do. Seriously, no one would ever know. BUT--I wouldn't tell anyone!!!!

hehehe on the free counseling during the car ride--sounds like you will need a stress debriefing after the ride and shower etc!!

You know, somehow I just really doubt that her kitchen floor is THAT clean, knowing Mrs. Jones the way I do.....:ROTFLMAO:

How far of a car ride is it, anyway?

Geez, in the interest of public safety I think I'd offer to take the cake inside and accidentally drop it. Outside. In front of other people. I mean, how are you going to stand watching people eat that? BARF!

Wow. I have to agree, that really shows no respect, but clearly she's clueless since she told you about it.
