I saw one of these left on the shelf on clearance yesterday. I got mine after all the WS ice cream maker hoopla and have been using it every week. I love that it takes up no counter or cabinet space (we keep the bowl in the freezer). We've made some yummy creations thus far with this attachment.

The meat grinder was also on clearance. I suppose they could have been an online return, but its worth a look. YMMV

Our Target is remodeling to have a bigger grocery section and is a complete mess. Greeting cards are in the middle of electronics, wrapping paper is in the middle of shoes. I wish I could find the Ice Cream Attachment there!

Is it this one?

I was hoping to use the online inventory to see if their was one in my store but it says online only. If someone finds (and buys one) do you mind sharing the #? I have lots of Targets around me , but it's beating searching them all with a kiddo in tow.

It was that one as far as I could tell. That is the one I have, and I thought it was the same one.

Thanks OP, I checked my Target and they had the meat grinders on sale for 36.xx, I didn't need one but they had the pouring shields marked down to 13.98, which I did need. I didn't see any ice cream bowls though.

$56 here in Upstate NY. I got it but may return it. I was a little bummed it wasn't $40. I've seen it on Amazon once in a while for this price.

Does anyone have the link to the page where you can check Target inventory?

Found it in the coupon sticky! (Such smart mods to put it there! :))

Link to check Target's in-stock items:
Replace the B000...number using the item # you're searching for (in the address bar after clicking on the link).

Thanks so much to the OP. I found one today. It was marked 56.XX and I was going to buy it for that price, but when I checked out it rang up for $40. Yippee! Off to search the old threads for ice cream recipes!

Glad you could find one. We've been eating way too much ice cream.
So far, these have worked great with the KA:

My closest Target did not have one, but another local store has two, so I'll be heading over there tomorrow. They will not hold it for me since it's a clearance item, but she did confirm there are two and they are not clearly marked, so no one will be snatching them up before I get there.

I have a stand alone ice cream maker that I picked up on clearance a year or two ago, but I hate it. This will be SOOOO much easier and my KA now becomes a multi-tasker. Yay!

Awesome. I put several ice cream books on hold at the library (both recipes and some kids books like from Cow to Icecream! )

Wahoo!

Hey Lori, were there others in Framingham? Wondering if it's worth a ride over there.

Thanks!!

I didn't see any others but there might have been one or two up above the shelf. The one I found was on the very bottom. There was also a grinder attachment and a slicer/shredder attachment that were on clearance.

Thanks OP - I checked all of our local Targets and they all said they clearanced them out a year ago, but one store still had three in stock, so off I went! I found them marked $55.xx but had high hopes that they would scan at $39.xx - bummer though - they were $55.xx. I bought one anyway as I have been "stalking" this item on amazon and $55.xx is still a good price, so thanks again!

I found one in Woburn, MA. It was still $55 but I bought it anyway. I may try another store.

Does anyone know the difference between these and the stand alone Cuisinart ones (ease of use, quality, etc) since for $56 they are about the same price?

Woo hoo!

All these great deals to "pimp" my kitchenaid =)

So, it wasn't creamy, but it helped me think I was eating a lot of ice cream. I put 4 cups of Silk Very Vanilla Soy Milk with 1 tsp Vanilla Extract (for he alcohol) and 1/4 c of sugar into the ic maker and got 2 quarts and a little over flow of ice cream. It was decent!

I also cooked 1 c sugar and 1 c water in a pan to make simple sugar. Added strawberries (used Magic Bullet to mash) and lemon extract and water (all together equalled 2 1/4 c). It was a good sorbet!

I also did the yogurt thing from another post. (I hope I am not gaining more weight!)

Thanks!
