Looking for something like this:
http://www.potterybarn.com/products/samantha-entryway-collection/?pkey=cstorage-benches

...that is not so freakin' expensive. Or even a way to get a similar look using IKEA furniture. Any suggestions? We need a "command center" for our house - ideally it would have 4 locker-like sections (one for me, one for husband, and one for each of our kids...but at least 3 sections at a minimum) that has hooks for coats/backpacks/computer bags and cubbies for shoes, lunches/school material, etc. And a bench with cubbies underneath to double as a place to sit and put on shoes. That way we can have it all set up the night before, and in the morning everyone can grab-and-go! This PB one would be almost perfect (if it weren't so darned pricey!).

If I recall correctly, IKEA has something like that in their Leksvik collection.

The knock-off wood blog had this. If you know anyone handy you could probably have it made for a fraction of the cost, including paying them for their time.

If not, IKEA Leksvik, as a PP said: http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/10034194

We've had this Target bench for over a year and I love it. We have a rail with hooks above it (no shelves). I think I paid much less for it on sale (more like $129). One basket is for the kids shoes, another holds hats and gloves, the third is mine and I put returns or other 'to do's' in it.

We have:

http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/80156120

with hooks and shelves above. I like it. We had the Levsik shoe bench thing but no one was ever sitting on it and we liked the containment factor of the Hemmes cabinets.

Costco.com has a version of this for $500 for both pieces although not in the distressed white:

We just ordered a knockoff version of it from JcPenny. I haven't opened the box yet. It just got delivered and was on backordered since January. I got it for only $211 including shipping and handling.

http://www2.jcpenney.com/jcp/x6.aspx?CatNum=TD778-5890B&JSEnabled=false&hdnOnGo=true&cmResetCat=true&CmCatId=searchresults&SO=0&PSO=0&CmCatId=searchresults

This is still going for $199. Good luck!

I've been searching for one of these with 4 cubbies. All I can say is "Good Luck!" ;)

In all seriousness, you can find a plethora of 3 cubby ones for great prices. Here is one of the few 4 hole ones I've found and liked:
http://www.homedecorators.com/P/Oxford_60W_Storage_Bench_with_Storage_Cabinets_-_Black_Leather/210/

And it still doesn't have the hooks, but I figure I could use a wide shelf with baskets, and hang hooks below if worst comes to worst.

The same site has a ton of options for 3 cubby benches.

More here:

I also saw a unique setup at Lowes made from cabinets. It had a countertop as the bench. I doubt it was very affordable, but you could probably knock it off easily.

I found this at the Land of Nod. It's not cheap to get two units, but I like the way it looks.

Please keep those ideas coming!!

I was once googling something similar and think this is the budget option that stuck in my head. Brand Prepac, look at "Customers Also Purchased..." to see the matching wall shelf. It comes in different colors:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0001SPRHM/ref=pd_lpo_k2_dp_sr_3?pf_rd_p=486539851&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe-1&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=B000W6KJDK&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=1T983GKPXN4C3SHQ5P6B

There's also this one which is a little more stylish, apparently also brand Prepac, model Sonoma:
http://www.amazon.com/Black-Entryway-Storage-Baskets-Cushions/dp/B000W6KJDK

Walmart had this bench for $149
http://www.walmart.com/ip/Wood-Storage-Bench-with-Baskets/10924713?sourceid=1500000000000003260370&ci_src=14110944&ci_sku=10924713

If you google "entry bench with storage," I got a lot of good looking hits.

I also saw a simple bench, like the Prepac one in the first link, at Big Lots about 2-3 months ago.
