you hear one twin yell from the other room, "[sister], I don't think this is a good idea!"

Cause if the 4 year old thinks it's a bad idea...

Knowing my boys M would yell that at the same time he would be doing the unsafe thing. Then when I would go see he would blame his brother.

Sorry - it wasn't that exciting!

They are in a "fort" building phase and this was an especially precarious pile. I think [sister] was putting something on top that she shouldn't have - still not sure what it was! (they have banded together and I get the "ummm, nothing" response.)

I mostly just meant it as "what have your kids said that make you realize it is time to get off the computer?" while relaying my own craziness! I didn't convey that very well in my haste to go investigate :)

TOTALLY!

Other signs:
"Don't tell mama"
"CRASH!!!!"
"Crying"
a sound I don't recognize
The sound of water running
DS2 saying "Me way up high" usually a sign he has climbed something like the bookcase
DS2 saying "no no too dangerous" to himself as he does something too dangerous
DS1 when it is way too quiet
DS1 giggling in this out of control I am doing something naughty/catch me if you can giggle (very distinctive)

It's a long period of quiet that makes me nervous. Also, running water, or "To infinity...... and beyond!" followed by a loud thump.

Right now mine would have to be I know I should get off the computer because the overwhelming smell of the poopy diaper is taking over the room...yet I just can't seem to pull myself away!! (and the baby isn't crying about it yet!)

Silence and running water are my warning sounds!

They never...ever lead to something good.

Can I get an amen up in here, sista? Yes, that's my inner RuPaul talking. DS often gets into some kind of such and whatnot in the bathroom, and I'm like, I really should get up from my desk and check that out ...

:yeahthat:

My kids are never quiet unless they are asleep or up to/into something...
