I am desperate and know you guys have worked miracles before so I'm hoping someone out there can help me locate this plush!! DS & I would forever be indebted to you  Here's the back story:

DS is REALLY into fish and purchased this little plush fish a few years ago on a visit to an aquarium. It was a small approx. 3" regal tang fish that came in a little bag of aquatic creatures. He loves all things "fish" and immediately became attached to the little blue tang. He slept with it every night since he got it and even secretly tucked her in his pocket to go to kindergarten each day. She has been on many adventures with him and was his security item as he grew and explored new things! Unfortunately on a trip to Disneyworld last year his grandfather stuck the little fish in his pocket for safe keeping as my son explored Disney's Animal Kingdom park, only to return to our hotel that evening to find that she must have fallen out of his pocket :banghead:! It may sound silly, but DS was devastated and has patiently waited over the past 10 months for her to be found! He even told me that was what he wished for when he blew out his birthday candles this year:crying:! Although some time has passed DS continues to talk about his treasured missing fish regularly.

Despite contacting the lost and found at Disney, searching every local store, aquarium, Ebay, and the internet, we've been unable to find a replacement! I've even contacted the company (Wild Republic) and they are not making it anymore. Through researching on the internet I was able to find a picture and see that the fish may have been part of the Wild Republic Itsy Bitsy line or sold in an Plush Aquatic Value Bag with other fish. DH and I are out of options and feel so bad whenever DS brings it up. Hoping that someone out there has seen one, has one I can purchase, or has another idea!

Keeping fingers crossed!

Might be worth checking to see the shipping from the UK. Probably not a huge amount.

Here's one on Amazon too (looks a tiny bit different to me though):

I noticed that the one Bill linked to was the 5" plush. I remember you saying that the plush was 3" and your DC would stick it in his pocket. I think that would be tough with a 5" plush.

I did find a site that is selling the 3" plush:
Itsy Bitsies 3" Regal Tang (Dory) Plush Toy (http://www.angelbabybedding.com/sea-themed-nursery-decor.html), but... I don't have ANY experience buying from this site. If you do buy from them, I would suggest using Paypal.

I wasn't able to find any other place that had the 3" one. Sorry.

Another thought - maybe try a Zoo Gift Shop supply company? The probably won't sell direct to you - but perhaps could direct you to a Zoo who has the Blue Tang you're looking for?

I found: http://www.krafandassociates.com/ as one that specializes in Zoo Gift shop supplies.

How exciting everyone's able to help you find a replacement! We need to get on the ball looking for "Freaky Mouse" who is actually a white bear. Apparently there was a Curious George episode with squeaky mouse, and DS1 started calling his sleeping bear Freaky Mouse. Squeaky is too hard to say, I guess. He's been calling out from the crib for him the past few nights, saying, "Freaky Mouse is down the hall, in the basement." We have a single story house with no basement, so we're scratching our heads... off to search the air vents...

I so appreciate her kindness and effort, but unfortunately Bluestarfish18 wasn't able to find hers...(maybe it found it's way to Animal Kingdom too!) so we are back to square 1 DESPERATELY searching for a replacement! It is the one from the bag that you linked ReyaDawn, but it looks to be out of stock and discountinued !

So I'm asking everyone again to keep their eyes open for one (see pic in post #1) and I'll look into some of your suggestions Bill! Even though it's not being made anymore, someone somewhere has to have one :praying:!

Thanks-

Appear to be slightly different, almost like it's made of a different material (plush vs. velboa, like a blanket). I am keeping this info though, because it's as close as I've seen and it just might have to do if we have no other options!

Yea, I noticed shortl after I posted that first link that it wasn't the same. The one that the OP has appears to only be able to be found in the bag set that I linked to later on. I have been searching for it everywhere I can think of with no luck. I think I am gonna start hitting up friends and family next :p I am DETERMINED to find this!
