I just received a bill with late fees...

from Kohl's, actually 2 but neither were postmarked? It is like a $6 balance, and neither bill is postmarked and they are from consecutive months? Do bills not have postmarks?

I am totally confused.

I'm kinda worried. Can bills not have postmarks? Do your bills have postmarks? Maybe the USPS is already cutting back!:hysterical:

I have noticed that bills and financial statements often do not have postmarks. I think maybe it is because they are sent as bulk mail.

If you received two months' bills at the same time, contact the company and tell them there was a problem with delivery of the bill. You should not be charged late fees for a bill you did not receive on time.

I got a bill with two months' worth of charges once. I had never received the previous month's bill. (We had some real problems with our mail delivery for a while. I suspect a neighbor got the bill and tossed it.) I called the company and told them that. Since we had never before missed a payment, they took off the late charge.
