UPDATE: My hair

Update: I told you I was indecisive. Months later, I finally worked up the nerve to go short again. I donated about 12 inches to Pantene Beautiful Lengths (http://www.pantene.com/en-US/beautiful-lengths-cause/Pages/default.aspx)
My sister did the cut. She did a great job! I will probably go a bit shorter to add a few more layers soon, but I'm happy for now. WHAT A RELIEF, especially in a Southern Summer! I can even still wear it in a ponytail and not get a headache!:love5: Thanks for all the advice, it helped me get over haircut anxiety!

OK, I *love* your hair short. Instead of going for the chin length bob again, maybe do something a little asymmetrical, longer in front, longer on one side, longer in back, etc. I think you look much more stylish with shorter hair.

I like the last one the best-it's very similar to what mine is now and I get compliments all the time on it. I do have to get it cut every 6-7 weeks but it takes me literally 5 min to do my hair-I use mouse and frizz-eaze on it and then quickly blow dry it and use a round brush to brush it under.

Shorter hair definitely suits your beautiful face better than longer. I've always felt that shorter hair, in general, tends to look more stylish. Go for your old cut. I don't think you need bangs at all.

Your hair is absolutely beautiful long but YOU look great with the shorter style (that second to last pic). I wouldn't do bangs, I don't think they would go well with your face shape.

I would definitely take some length off. You look great with a bob, but would it work with your current lifestyle? My hair is about shoulder length right now with shorter pieces in the front (just under my chin, sort of like bob length) framing my face. I know I would look very sharp with a bob since I've had it before, just like you do in second to last picture, but I am simply not ready to commit to blow drying and ironing my hair at least every other morning.

Since this is a pretty big change I'd go to the best hair stylist that you can afford and have him suggest a style that would work best for your face, body and lifestyle. That's what I did when I cut my below shoulder blades hair when DS was about a year old.

Wow guys thanks for all the responses! I'm surprised so many like short better. I can't help wondering if part of that is that that pic was taken nearly 5 years ago when I was younger, carefree, and skinnier (and tended to use makeup at times).

I *think* I'm going short. The last two photos are actually the same haircut. I think the second to last photo I straightened it and the last one just let it go. That was a great cut by a great stylist and I haven't had a great stylist since then. So I need to find one before doing this! But I think if I go to that length, I'll have enough to donate to one of the charities which would be really cool.

I'll keep you guys posted, and thanks for all the nice comments and ideas.

Hey, other people post these too, it's really fun and I love looking at hairstyles! Spring is a nice time to change up the haircut!
