View Full Version : How old are you?

Fairy

Have we done this lately? I am sorry if it was recently done, I've been spotty the last few months and may have missed it (or, since I'm old, simply don't remember it :irked:). We did this several years ago, and with alot of new parents on the board, I'm interested to know!

ETA --> There is an overlap for age 35. If you're 35, please vote in the younger age group of 30 - 35.

I so hate this forum's SW for polls making you do it in the two steps. the previous forum was soooo much better for that. Oh well.

I think this same question (or something similar) was asked a few weeks ago.

I'm turning 32 in July.

Your hair looks fantastic (as of course do you!). Did you do it yourself? If so, share how - because it really looks wonderful.

I LOVE that 1/3 of us (as of right now) are 40+! I've been feeling so out of the swing lately...like the only Mom my age. Woo-hoo!

Jeana, for some reason I pictured you to be really different! :D Isn't it funny how we make up these images in our heads?

I have been feeling really old lately (I'm 36)..... Can I please go back to my carefree college days? :ROTFLMAO:

:yeahthat: too!! blew me away

You are not only really beautiful inside from all your supportive/understanding post to people that I have read but outside too!

I think I need to send my DH to Walmart on his next trip to the US for some of that highlight ...maybe it will help me!

Turned 41 2 wks ago but feel like with all the stress and uncertainty in my life at the moment A LOT older...am looking forward to things being clearer in my life so I can relax and enjoy it more!

Yeah me too. I love your cross, it looks very similar to mine that I got as a child and still wear to this day.

Back to the original question. I am 32, will be 33 on June 25th (hence the 625 in my user name!). Most days I feel my age.

FWIW, no photos of myself on work computer, but I think I look somewhat similar to my "Mad Men" style avatar.

I'm 35. I'll be 36 in August. I feel old just trying to answer the question, "Ok, what year was I born? Oh yeah. Carry the one, add six, plus ten..."
Sigh.

I am right bang smack in the middle of that 35-39 age group - or will be in a week. :)

Apparently I look like a kid. Some months ago (pre pregnancy) an older woman at a bus stop near our neighborhood high school asked me what time school let out. Maybe she thought I was a teacher, but I was pretty tickled. ;)

I was just thinking, I have a couple weeks until 39.

Then 40 next year!

My mom used to cross out her birthday on the calender in black sharpie and forbid anyone to mention it.

Me, I LOVE the fact that I am 39, and healthy, and look good. Hey, it beats death right ;) You can either grow old, or you can die, two options. I like growing old.

Yesterday at CHuck E Cheese, some young boys were flirting with me (or maybe just being REALLY nice), first they pointed out that it was spring Break and they would get busy soon, and that I should have the kids run around and grab all the tickets from the machine tests before the other kids came in.

Then, when we were leaving, they gave us free Rocket Launchers and lolipops! So it made me feel happy/young, although it could just be because they thought my kids were cute. :ROTFLMAO:

Do you think it is skewed toward the old side right now b/c all the "more mature" mamas are collapsed on the couch with the laptop, like I am?

I have EXACTLY 4 months to be under 40. Wow. Jeana, you're cute :) I'm not sure how I pictured you, but that wasn't it.

32.

And I keep thinking "I'm 32!! what?? when did this happen? And what have I really done? Am I allowed to be 32? Am I 32 mature?" and the questions go on...oh well, time doesn't wait. It's wonderful to be on a board like this :)

This particular question makes me

I'm quickly approaching 40. Seriously, 40. Back when I was young, hip and cool (OK, maybe in MY mind), 40 was ancient history, like really really old.

Now that is me - wow perspective.

I am 29 for a little bit longer. I am about to jump another age bracket, which is funny because I remember being in the 2% of posters under 24 here. I am glad to have reached the point where people don't think I am my kid's nanny anymore.

I don't think 40 or 50 sounds old. Old is my Grandma. She is 90.

Don't tell that to my grandma. She's 87 and making plans for what she's going to be doing in 5 years. Seriously. And you know what? I bet she'll do every one of those things. LOVE the spirit, and I for one do not plan on getting old, at least not mentally!
