I have a smallish square foot garden. Last year my two toy breed dogs (papillon and pomeranian) ate all of my tomatoes, among other things.

I need to fence my garden this year.

My whole yard is fenced big time, so I don't need anything major to keep out deer etc.

Just something 2-3 feet high that will keep the darn dogs off of my veggies. I would PREFER it to be attractive. Budget right now is an issue, so cheap is more important than attractive. I need about 100 linear feet of fencing, and can't at this point spend more than a few hundred dollars.

Have you fenced your garden? I'd love to see pics and hear ideas!

A friend of mine used some kind of "temporary" fencing that she bought at Home Depot. It has the look of wrought (?) iron, but it's either aluminum or steel and you just stick the panels into the ground. I looked all over the website and couldn't find the item so you might try asking for it at HD or Lowes, etc.

For my garden, I just use the cheap wire fencing with the metal posts. I don't think it looks all that bad - you can see right through it - and it keeps my two Boston Terriers out of the strawberries :-)

Found this on the Lowe's site:

We were just planning on getting a decorative type fence like this:
http://www.amazon.com/Round-Folding-Fence-Border-Green/dp/B000HHHD7E/ref=sr_1_11?ie=UTF8&s=home-garden&qid=1268965883&sr=8-11
and then throwing netting over the whole thing..........:
http://www.amazon.com/Easy-Gardener-602-BirdBlock-Protective/dp/B00004RA0O/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&s=home-garden&qid=1268965984&sr=8-4

We got the netting at lowes or home depot and haven't bought the fence yet. We're going to wait 'till we actually make the garden, so we only get what we need.

Just looked at fencing options at Lowe's today. There were more options in-store than on line, so I'd recommend looking in both places. There was a lot of cute, easy-to-install fencing. (We're getting something cheaper and not cute, unfortunately.)

It's called Garden Zone 29in x 38in Empire Fence Base Unit, around 20 bucks per panel.
