It's gorgeous. Yes it's very bumpy but my baby likes the bumps and makes noises going over bumpy wood slats. The hood isn't massive but has a back plaid flap which definitely lengthens the coverage.

Where I loved the stroller was in the museum - super quiet, turned on a dime, fit between all the people in the crowded spaces.

Folding it is a bit cumbersome with the hinge cover.

The most wonderful thing is that it fits in my hall closet (less than 3 feet wide) with my SnapNGo and vacuum.

Thanks for all the input!

Congrats!

Do the earlier models (2009 and earlier) have the back plaid flap that lengthens the hood?

The 2008s don't. I think it was either added in 09 or 10...

Do you mean the back part that comes down from the top and goes behind the child's head? If so, they've always had that.

I really appreciate all the help on this board in making my choice. I love the Triumph.

The light weight paid off when taking baby out to climb stairs to cross over the bridge in downtown Chicago. It's so easy to steer and does fine even on bumpy sidewalks. It's not exactly a Lexus/Cadillac type of stroller ride but my daughter is so happy to be upright.

Plus I love the color!

Next purchase - the organizer.

oooh The color is called "Majesty". Thanks for the link! They didn't even show that color on the official Maclaren site. Is this the average price for a 2010 Triumph? I know sometimes stuff on Amazon is marked WAY up, but I'm guessing there's no deals to be had on this beauty since it's so new. ;) So tempted to buy this, but don't know if I should get a stroller I really like if it's just going to get trashed at Disneyland.

This is actually a good price. Many other sites are selling it for $190, which I think is the standard Triumph price without sales.

Thanks! I thought I found a site with 16% off, but of course Maclarens are excluded!

Since I ordered it the first day it came out, I paid $170 plus shipping from NYC. It is a really pretty shade of purple (my favorite color). I haven't seen anyone else with a stroller this color.

We've taken it to quite a few museums and use it for taking baby to the car. After seeing people with their jogging strollers at the museum, I'm so glad I got it.

What convinced me to get the Triumph was talking to a Triumph owner on Michigan Ave who had it for 5 years and was still using it for the younger kid.

I bought this stroller the other day for 15% off on amazon. Cant wait to get it! It will be our first umbrella stroller. Love the color!

When you say there is a hinge cover, is that the new way they are being made now (in response to the recall last year?) or is the hinge cover still just an aftermarket fix? Also, did yours come with a raincover?

FWIW - I don't know how much it is on amazon, but strollers.com has it for $136 using code 20stroller.
It should come with a raincover (I believe all triumphs except some of the BRU ones come with raincovers). They all come with hinge covers, an aftermarket fix (unless they have the new elusive hinges I spotted at BBB last week)...

It's a pain since it now takes 2 hands to fold the stroller, but not really a big deal.

I just washed my cover over the weekend and it looks fabulous. Not too easy to figure out from the diagrams but I managed.

That color is killer! It looks so bright in the stock photos, but so lovely and dark in your real life one.
