We are expecting our second child in late May/early June. Our son will be 20-21 months then and is a big kid (tall and heavy). Despite being worn extensively as an infant and being very active, he loves being pushed in the stroller, so we definitely need a double. And our neighborhood has large hills and terrible sidewalks, so we need the air tires. We have test driven a few options and concluded that either the Bumbleride (probably the 09) or the Bob is likely to be our stroller. I'm wondering what thoughts people have on the two, as we're having trouble deciding.

A few things we've noted thus far (feel free to tell me we're wrong!):

Bumbleride pros:
- DS seems to have more headroom and legroom
- It comes with the carseat attachment, raincover, etc.
- Larger basket underneath

Bob pros:
- People have said it handles a little better with two actual kids in it
- Wheels detach, for the times we need to get it in the car (though we have an SUV, so either will fit)
- Everyone seems to have (and recommend) it (we don't know a single person with the Bumbleride)

Any thoughts would be much appreciated!

TIA,

Kathy

I think the tires on the Bumbleride detach too.

Babygizmo.com has a great video review on the bumbleride indie twin.
I have watched it many times in trying to make my own decision :)

I'm leaning towards the bumbleride myself.

Hi Kathy!

Glad to hear your are considering the Indie Twin! The wheels on the twin do feature quick release levers for each wheel to make more room when necessary. Here is the link to the Baby Gizmo review for the 2009 and 2010. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eOdCWTz2qh4 and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9XFNxWQs8LQ

Best of luck with your decision!
