Bicycle Shorts for ME or something to go under skirts

I love the whirley skirt from Old Navy and picked one up today. I would really like to wear more skirts this summer. But I would be more comfortable with something under them. Is there such a thing as bicycle shorts or a thin stretchy short for women?

What do you wear under your short(er) skirts?

My personal rule of thumb...if it's short enough that I'd want shorts under it, it's too short!

Hanes makes some underwear for women that look like boxer briefs (but the fly is fake)...they fit snug, are all cotton, and give an inch or two of thigh coveage. I like to sleep in them, but if I had a skirt I was afraid might blow up a la Marilyn Monroe, I might wear those underneath.

I would wear a slip and a thong under!

There are probably some spanx type "shorts" you could wear underneath.

Honestly, they're not short skirts! I think I'm just a prude ;). I just know DD's going to come over and lift up my skirt for the fun of it when we are out in public. A thong??! Yeah, see, I'm definitely a prude :).

I'm always squatting down in skirts with my two guys. Or having my pants, skirts, etc., pulled down by the little one, whom I am trying to break of this habit.

So I *always* wear bike shorts under. Get some inexpensive ones from Target and save yourself any blushes.

Thank you for posting this. I bought TONS of the whirly skirts from ON, and I'm having the same dilemma. It gets windy here in the summer, so any "whirly" skirts blow around a lot no matter how long they are. I tried some nude colored boy short from Target, but those didn't work. I'm going to check Target for something else. Please post if you find something, and I'll do the same!
