I could use some new sandals. I'm all about comfort so that's the first priority. But past that, I'd like something a bit stylish, maybe even trendy. I have no idea what's trendy though. Are metalic sandals trendy or old lady? I was pondering bronze or silver? Or I could go with red--I'm replacing a fabulous pair of red ecco sandals purchased in Germany and worn for many years.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

Thanks!
Catherine

I have a pair of simple, higher end (well, Ann Taylor Loft vs Old navy ;)) metallic flip flops. They are simple and neutral. The straps are pretty small so I'm not worried about them not being trendy as they aren't very noticeable.

Red sounds like a lot of fun!!

I think the metallics are becoming trendy, as well as nude colors. And I think red is always fun.

I've had my eye on these: http://www.zappos.com/indigo-by-clarks-smooch-red-leather

I'm not sure if you mean you are looking for a "comfort sandal" or just one that is comfortable enough to wear regularly.
I have these in a metallic

and these in black patent

and I wear them both with shorts and skirts for "everyday" type of wear. I find them comfy enough--

Metallics are definitely not "old lady", but I do think that you kind of run that risk in a comfort sandal.
Here are two that I think are pretty cute, but appear to me I think are designed with comfort in mind.

Thanks for the thoughts and suggestions!

I've never been able to do thongs--the piece between my toes drives me nuts. And when I say comfort, I mean I walk a mile or more a day in my daily routine and I'd like to be able to wear whatever I buy for that.

I really like those Donald Pilner platforms from Garnet Hill.

Thanks!

I just got these for a trip to Disneyland. Comfortable, and not as clunky as Keens. I wear a kids' size 5.5, (women's 7.5) so I bought the kids ones (cheaper).
