Thank you for the suggestions of how to deal with a carpeted dining room. We're going to get a stain remover AND a rug. Costco has a great deal right now for a 100% olefin/polypropylene indoor/outdoor rug for $100. Will this do? Any other affordable alternatives will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
