I need a church outfit that is dressy, but washable (DS's spit-up radar senses dryclean-only clothes) and nursing-friendly. I don't like wearing pants to church. Any ideas? $50 is my upper limit--would prefer something high quality on sale. I generally shop at Macy's, Nordies (sale), Talbots (sale) or wherever. My style is boring traditional, modest.

It seems every store I go into has nothing that is washable, nursing friendly and in my price range. :( Found a cute patterned skirt @ Talbots on sale, but I have no tops to go with it, and they had none in the store or online.

I've been wearing the same black skirt a size too big (bought as losing preg. weight) for 8 months and I want to burn it.

Are there any stores out there that have these types of cute, practical outfits? TIA.

I focused on skirts.

This is really pretty:

This is one of my favorite skirts ever. I have it in several colors. You can really dress it up with the right accessories. It's not ever going to be formal or anything but it might serve your needs depending on how things are at your church.

Athleta has one like the ON one too:

Old Navy has lots of potentials, imo.

Dresses and nursing are tricky.

This one is $7 more than your budget but could be worth a look:

I bet you could nurse in this:

If you've already hit Nordies, I'd try ATL, Banana, or j Crew. J crew you'd definitely need a sale, but they are well made and often machine washable.

How about a shirt dress style with buttons? Something like this?

Virtually everything at TravelSmith is washable. Some of the things in their outlet section are in your price range: http://www.travelsmith.com/jump.jsp?itemID=363&itemType=CATEGORY&path=1%2C2%2C253%2C260%2C363&page=1&sortBy=0

Wow ladies, thanks! Sorry for not replying sooner. Great ideas. I will be shopping online and otherwise. Didn't realize that there actually were such things out there--love the travelsmith, ATL & ON ideas... I may find some new favorite stores! :D

There are tons at Kohl's online (mostly prints, but not expensive and washable):

Nordstrom Rack has a bunch of Max Studio Knit dresses that are so comfortable and easy to wear (I wear to work with cardigan or blazer and on weekends with leggings) for $39.97.
