Maybe a techie will chime in, but I've had it for over a year b/c it was recommended by a few tech guys. No problems, so far. I like it, and it seems to be working.

We use it on our home computers, too. My DH is a network administrator for a bank.

I'm running it as we speak. I've used it and AVG for years. They're both fantastic and I'll never spend money on expensive Symantec or McAfee products ever again. They cost too much, do too little, and eat up too many resources.

We had our computer fixed due to a virus around Christmas time by a local guy called the Geek Handyman. He had to replace most of the programs on our computer and added Avast anti-virus. He felt it was a great product.
