Ipod/Itunes Question

Can I buy music downloads from other sites like Amazon, or do I have to purchase on Itunes? If so how do I get the "other" music into my Itunes/Ipod catalog for synching? New at this and have only downloaded music from my own CDs onto my Ipod.

I really like Amazons mp3 downloader. Often their prices are cheaper although alot are the same price as Itunes but when you purchase one it will pop up to download their little downloader thing and it automatically transfers it to your itunes. Very easy!

I've downloaded from eMusic and Amazon. If iTunes is your default music player, they should go right in there right away no problem. I don't use iTunes for music.
