This is a spin-off of the the flame retardant thread. There were some other miscellaneous questions being asked there that didn't pertain to the subject, so I thought maybe we should start a new thread.
Also, Earth Day is coming up on the 22nd! But with our babies and kids being so heavily influenced by our environment, we need to think about these issues everyday.

Some one asked about sippy cups, and we use Foogo straw cups and sippy cups, Kleen Kanteens with the Avent sippy spouts and the sports tops.

We bought SIGG water bottles years ago, when they said that the inner coating was BPA free, and then come to find out this past year they lied! So I returned them, got my money back, and I will never buy another SIGG again. Partly because I won't give them my money, partly because how do I know they are being truthful that the new lining is really BPA free or free from other hazardous chemicals?

Some GREAT books in my personal library:

Whew! Thats just the tip of the iceberg. I seriously don't even know where to begin, there is so much on this subject that we could talk about. I have about 100 other links in my bookmarks folder on "green stuff" but these are what I refer to most often.

Thanks! I have several of those books, too. And I'd like to add this one to the list:

Green up your Clean-up http://www.amazon.com/Green-Up-Your-Cleanup-House/dp/1580113958/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1270769323&sr=1-1 it's really useful as a go-to guide for home-made cleaning solutions.
